About Country Going

Country Going was originally founded by Finn Jansen, a car and history enthusiast who started blogging about his life in the States. Now, Country Going employs four full-time staff writers who dig deep into the things that shape life in America.

We cover everything from home ownership and money to travel, cars, and the traditions and history that keep people talking. Some of it’s practical, some of it’s nostalgic, and some of it just reflects what life feels like today.

Our team writes with a focus on real experiences – what’s changing, what’s worth holding on to, and what you need to know.

We write about the topics that feel familiar to people across the country – big or small. That could mean the shift in how neighborhoods look, the cost of keeping a home, the roads worth driving, or the places where people still gather like they did decades ago.
